A commemorative design to mark the WW1 centenary years (2014-2018) – ‘Poppy field of peace’.
Each panel is cut freehand without a pattern, so no two will ever be the same, and this is the first panel to include glass typography (my secret passion!).
The poppies are made from a gorgeous textured blood red glass and the grass is cut from a swirly green/black waterglass which catches the light beautifully. The solder lines have been blackened down and polished, to give them an aged feel.
‘Poppy field of peace’ is a copperfoil stained glass panel in an oak stand. You can put it anywhere that catches the light – on a windowsill, a table or even against a light coloured wall. It is an original piece of glasswork, with a poignant message and will be a statement piece of art in any home it graces.
The panel measures approx. 32x25x6cm in the stand.
