The most popular British garden bird and a Glassworks’ favourite! We love it for it’s beautiful birdsong, striking colour, cheeky personality and for many, as a reminder of those loved and lost. The little Robin Redbreast is close to all of our hearts and every garden should have one!<\/p>\n
The robins are handmade to the highest quality, using traditional lead techniques and stained glass. The lead has been darkened and polished to a shine to protect it. They are made using genuine stained glass, so the colours will never fade.<\/p>\n
The garden robin is made from three different colours of glass – deep red, opaque white and brown and has a beautiful little Venetian millefiori glass mosaic bead as an eye. <\/p>\n
This design has been made to hang outdoors but obviously it is made of glass, so needs to be handled with care and ideally hung in a sheltered spot. It comes on a chain so it can hang from a hook or be attached to a wall. The lead will weather and change colour over time when exposed to the elements – this is all part of the natural aging process of lead and will just add character to the design! <\/p>\n
