Garden robin

Description

The most popular British garden bird and a Glassworks’ favourite! We love it for it’s beautiful birdsong, striking colour, cheeky personality and for many, as a reminder of those loved and lost. The little Robin Redbreast is close to all of our hearts and every garden should have one!

The robins are handmade to the highest quality, using traditional lead techniques and stained glass. The lead has been darkened and polished to a shine to protect it. They are made using genuine stained glass, so the colours will never fade.

The garden robin is made from three different colours of glass – deep red, opaque white and brown and has a beautiful little Venetian millefiori glass mosaic bead as an eye.

This design has been made to hang outdoors but obviously it is made of glass, so needs to be handled with care and ideally hung in a sheltered spot. It comes on a chain so it can hang from a hook or be attached to a wall. The lead will weather and change colour over time when exposed to the elements – this is all part of the natural aging process of lead and will just add character to the design!
